Ivan Björkly-Nordström continues with the Steeldogs this season, once again playing under head coach Slava Koulikov. The skilled forward joined Sheffield from Peterborough, where he made a strong impact in the NIHL, and quickly became a fan favourite in his first year with the Dogs.

Originally from Edinburgh and developed in Sweden, Ivan brings a mix of European flair and physical strength to the line-up. After successful spells with Linköping, Malmö and AIK juniors, he made the move to British hockey with the Peterborough Phantoms before shining in Sheffield colours last season.

Ivan is now on a two-way contract with the Sheffield Steelers, having earned a well-deserved call-up to the Elite League side last season following his standout performances.

Back under Slava’s guidance, he’ll be looking to build on that success and continue to be a key offensive threat for the Steeldogs.
