Jordan O’Brien is a talented young British forward who has represented Great Britain at both U16 and U18 level, including appearances at the IIHF U18 World Championship. He is regarded as part of the next generation of British prospects progressing through the national development pathway.

Prior to joining the Sheffield Steeldogs, O’Brien gained valuable experience in Canada, spending time with OHA U18 AAA and the Peterborough Petes U18 AAA programme. These opportunities helped further his development while competing in a highly regarded hockey environment.

A product of the Manchester Storm Academy, Jordan spent the majority of his junior career in the UK, while also enjoying a season with the Bradford Bulldogs at U15 level.

The 2025/26 season proved frustrating for O’Brien, as injury setbacks prevented him from icing for a team. However, after working hard through his recovery, he is eager to return to action and is excited to pull on a Steeldogs jersey as he begins the next chapter of his career.
