Dante’s career began back in 2011 with the Don Mills Flyers U16 AAA, where he racked up an incredible 91 points in just 30 games.

His performances quickly attracted attention, with OHL side the Ottawa 67’s pursuing the opportunity to bring the talented forward into their ranks.

Salituro went on to spend four seasons with the 67’s, playing 265 games and recording 260 points, including 111 goals and 149 assists.

During his time in Ottawa, Dante also had the opportunity to play alongside several players who would go on to establish themselves in the NHL, including Sean Monahan, Cody Ceci and Jacob Middleton.

His 2013/14 campaign was particularly impressive, as Dante finished as the second-highest point scorer on the Ottawa 67’s, behind only future Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny.

It was another season that demonstrated Salituro’s ability to produce consistently at a high level and showed why he was regarded as one of Ottawa’s key offensive players.

In 2016, Dante made the move to the AHL, spending two seasons between the Cleveland Monsters and Iowa Wild, with some of his playing time also split between the ECHL.

In 2019, Dante took his career overseas for the first time, making the move to Finland’s top flight, Liiga, where he joined SaiPa.

During his time in Finland, Dante also shared the ice with a familiar face to Steeldogs fans, playing alongside former Sheffield Steeler Veeti Vainio.

Since then, Dante has continued to build an impressive international career, spending the last few years playing across Europe in countries including France, Germany, Slovakia, Poland and Norway.

Now, after gaining valuable experience across North America and Europe, Dante is ready for the next chapter of his career as he arrives in Sheffield.

With his wealth of experience, proven scoring ability and an impressive CV behind him, there is plenty for Steeldogs fans to be excited about.

A huge welcome to Sheffield, Dante! We can’t wait to see you in Steeldogs colours!
