The DSM Sheffield Steeldogs came out victorious in this evenings pre-season fixture versus Solway IHC
Nathan Ripley opened the scoring giving the Steeldogs at 13:29. Jonathan Kirk then doubled the Steeldogs lead at 16:37 short handed. Walker Sommer netted a third for the Steeldogs in quick succession giving the Steeldogs a 3-0 after the opening stanza.
Momentum continued for the Steeldogs in the middle frame with Dante Salituro getting his first goal in Steeldogs colours. Walker Sommer followed minutes later getting himself a second if the night. Solway responded with a goal of their own through Dylan Murray. The Steeldogs led 5-1 after 40.
The final period saw both teams look leggy with it being a hard-fought preseason contest. But the Steeldogs went and got a sixth through Michael Pelech.
