Sheffield stalwart Ben Morgan returns for the 2025–26 season, continuing his long-standing on-ice role with the Steeldogs after leading the team as Head Coach last year.

Now entering his 20th senior season, Morgan remains one of the most experienced and respected players in British hockey. A product of the Sheffield IHA system, he made his senior debut in 2004 and has since surpassed 900 career games, including time in the EIHL with both the Sheffield Steelers and Manchester Phoenix.

Morgan has been central to the identity and leadership of the Steeldogs for over a decade, wearing both the “C” and “A” through multiple eras. Known for his composed play, elite passing, and on-ice awareness, he continues to be a calm, intelligent presence on the blue line. In 2024–25, he added 23 points in 53 appearances, and will once again provide veteran leadership this season.
