The TriggerHub Sheffield Steeldogs have officially completed their team induction for the 2025/26 season. The day included player headshots, green screen videos, and plenty of laughs — with a few goal celebrations thrown in for good measure. More importantly, it was the perfect opportunity for the players to bond and get to know each other before their first full team training session.
Pre-Season on the Horizon
Our pre-season trip to Edinburgh is fast approaching, and we would love to see as many Steeldogs fans as possible in the Scottish capital on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September.

Before then, fans can look forward to our 2025/26 Shirt Launch, taking place at the Utilita Arena on Friday 5th September. This will be the first chance to see the brand-new Steeldogs jerseys in person — a night not to be missed.
A Fresh Era with Slava Koulikov
This season marks the beginning of an exciting new era under Head Coach Slava Koulikov, who takes charge of the Steeldogs for the first time. With a refreshed roster full of hungry new faces, Koulikov is eager to get the season underway and build something special on and off the ice.
“We’ve got a great group of lads,” said Koulikov. “The induction showed their personalities and the chemistry is already starting to build. Now it’s time to take that energy onto the ice.”

First Home Game – A Rivalry Renewed
Our first home game of the new season takes place on Friday 12th September, when we welcome local rivals the Leeds Knights to the Bauer Arena for a pre-season “friendly”. The last pre-season clash between the two sides ended in an unforgettable 8–7 battle in favour of the Knights — and we’d love to see a repeat of that excitement this year.
