The TriggerHub Sheffield Steeldogs are extremely excited to announce the signing of talented British defenceman Emil Oksanen on a 3-YEAR-DEAL!
A product of the Streatham Redhawks junior system, Emil spent his formative years developing with the club before making the move to Finland for the 2023/2024 season. During his time in Finland, he represented Kiekko-Espoo U18 in the 2023/24 campaign, showcasing his talent and adapting quickly to the Finnish style of play.
For the 2024/2025 season, Emil stepped up to Kiekko-Espoo’s U20 side, who compete in the U20 Mestis, continuing his development against some of the country’s top young prospects.

Emil Oksanen shared his thoughts about his move to the Steeldogs: “I’m really excited to be joining the Sheffield Steeldogs. It’s a great opportunity and I’m looking forward to being part of a strong group heading into next season. I’m eager to contribute, keep developing my game, and help the team push for success.”
