Power forward Ivan Björkly-Nordström returns to the Sheffield Steeldogs for his second season with the club, reuniting with Head Coach Slava Koulikov—his former bench boss at Peterborough.

The towering 6′7″ winger enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2024–25, finishing with 58 points (22 goals, 36 assists) in just 38 regular-season appearances for the Steeldogs. He also made his EIHL debut with the Sheffield Steelers, contributing two points in seven games, and continued to showcase his offensive touch and physical presence.

Born in Edinburgh but developed in Sweden, Björkly-Nordström spent his junior years with top programs including Linköping, Malmö, and AIK, competing in both the J20 Nationell and HockeyEttan. His transition to British hockey in 2023–24 was seamless, tallying 49 points with the Peterborough Phantoms before joining Sheffield last season.

With a rare combination of size, skill, and versatility, Ivan will be a central figure in the Steeldogs’ offence again this year.
