The TriggerHub Sheffield Steeldogs can officially announce the return of Nathan Ripley for the 2025/2026 season.
Ripley is set to begin his fourth season with the Steeldogs, continuing to be a key part of the team’s core lineup. Since returning to the club, Nathan has consistently brought energy, work ethic, and offensive production to the ice — and last season was no exception.
During the 2024/2025 campaign, Ripley appeared in 58 games, recording 38 points. His combination of speed, skill, and determination made him a constant threat on the ice and a valuable contributor at both ends of the rink.

Nathan Ripley on his return to the Steeldogs:
“It’s an honour to be back for another season! With a new coach and the best fans behind us, I can’t wait to get to work and make this a season to remember.
This team means a lot to me, and I’m buzzing to get back on the ice.”

Jamie McIlroy on the return of Nathan Ripley:
“As we continue to shape our roster for the upcoming season, we’re delighted to confirm the return of Nathan Ripley to the Sheffield Steeldogs. Even at the young age of 23, Nathan already brings a wealth of experience with him, having played two full seasons in the EIHL; a testament to his quality and maturity on the ice.
Nathan’s speed, determination, and nose for the net make him a real offensive threat. With his skillset and experience, he’s more than capable of being a point-per-game player in the National League, and that’s exactly the kind of impact we’ll be looking for him to deliver. He’s definitely got another level to his game, and we firmly believe he’s more than capable of reaching it with the right opportunity and responsibility.
Myself and Slava see Nathan as a key part of our plans this season. He knows what it takes to play at a high level, and we’re excited to see him embrace a prominent role in our line-up.”
