Dogs 0-6 Knights
A difficult task was made even harder with Jono missing through injury after Sunday night’s game.
The Dog’s had a couple of decent chances at the start of the first, but it wasn’t long before Leeds got into their stride and scored their first goal of the evening. Leeds played like the top rated side they are adding a further 2 goals in the first period to lead 3-0 at the end of the first.
The second period saw Leeds use more of their younger lines, which gave Sheffield a bit more possession and control but Gospel as always stood firm in the Leeds goal keeping the SteelDogs at bay.
The third started with Jack Brammer being called for interference. This led to Thompson and Griffin deciding to hug out all their problems.
The resulting power play to Leeds gave them their fourth of the evening.
Even hardened SteelDogs fans were starting to beg for mercy. Two further goals for Leeds wrapped up a 6-0 loss for Sheffield.
We play Leeds again on Friday in Elland Road, hopefully the SteelDogs can come up with a plan to gain our first victory of the season over Leeds
