Another game for the Steeldogs this time it was the Telford Tigers who were the visitors. The Steeldogs knew this was going to be a tough game. Dogs didn’t arrive back at IceSheffield until 3:15am Sunday morning.
Period one got underway with the Tigers getting on the board after 4:48 through Harry Ferguson who got the only goal of the period.
The second period evened out with both teams seeing a lot of chances. The game was backwards and forwards for large portions of the second period but neither team could find the back of the net. The score remained 1-0 to Telford.
More work to do in the third period for both teams. Steeldogs know that these are two valuable points on the table. Unfortunately it was the Tigers who scored making it 2-0, Harry Ferguson getting his second of the night. Steeldogs kept fighting and at 56:56 Ivan Bjorkly-Nordstrom got the Steeldogs on the board to make it 2-1 heading into the final 3 minutes of the game. Sadly, even with the extra man with Oldale pulled Tigers stood strong and saw the game out taking 2pts away from home.
