The Sheffield Steeldogs are delighted to announce the signing of versatile forward and defenceman Liam Morris ahead of the 2026/27 NIHL National season.
Capable of playing both defence and forward, Morris brings valuable versatility to the Steeldogs’ roster. Known for his gritty, hard-working style, he competes relentlessly every shift, isn’t afraid of the physical side of the game, and will do whatever is required to help his team succeed. Whether deployed on the blue line or as a forward, his determination, energy, and team-first mentality make him a player coaches can rely on in any situation.
Morris joins the Steeldogs after spending last season with the Basingstoke Bison. His willingness to battle in the corners, block shots, finish checks, and bring intensity every night has earned him a reputation as a dependable competitor, while his skating and hockey IQ allow him to make an impact at both ends of the ice.
Morris adds valuable depth, flexibility, and character to the Steeldogs’ line-up as the club continues to build towards an exciting 2026/27 campaign.

He’s the sort of player who will do whatever is needed to help the group succeed, whether that’s blocking a shot, standing up for a teammate or playing whatever role the coaches ask of him.

He gets under the opposition’s skin, brings plenty of energy and emotion to every game, and he’ll definitely give our supporters something to cheer about.
