The DSM Sheffield Steeldogs returned to the ice on Tuesday night as preparations for the 2026/27 season officially got underway.
With the new season now just around the corner, the Steeldogs hit the ice for their first pre-season training session, with not every player able to attend the opening session.

The Steeldogs were joined on the ice by fan favourite Liam Steele, who has progressed from the Steeldogs to the Sheffield Steelers this season. Steele returned to IceSheffield to join his former teammates as preparations got underway.
Also joining the Steeldogs were Dominic Cormier, Brandon Whistle and Lucas Brine, who all brought their experience to the session and helped the squad get preparations underway.
Michael Pelech and CJ Garcia are currently the only imports on the ice for the Steeldogs, with the remaining imports expected to arrive in Sheffield over the coming week.
Ben Morgan, Nathan Ripley, Nathan Salem, Jordan O’Brien, Jonathan Phillips, Jordan O’Brien, Michael Danecko, Alex Oldale, Davey Phillips, Olly Knaggs and Ollie Jardine were also on the ice, alongside a crop of prospects looking to impress Head Coach Slava Koulikov during the early stages of pre-season camp.

With pre-season now officially underway, the countdown to the 2026/27 campaign continues, make sure you get your tickets and join us back on home ice!
