Steeldogs Dominate: High-Scoring Victory Over Telford Tigers

The Dog’s completed their weekends work with a resounding victory over a very talented Telford tigers running out winners by 10-6

With Ulrick stepping back up to Steelers, Nathan Ripley stepped back up to first line duties. Telford had the best of the early exchanges which was expected after the Dog’s leaving everything they had on the ice last night in Leeds .
But the Dog’s didn’t let Telford have their own way for long, some excellent work from Tremblay set Halfors up for the opening goal with 3-19 on the clock.
A turnover in the neutral zone by Ivan sent Sommer away and clear for him to bury the second goal at 8:07 on the clock. Goal 1 for Telford came after some dominant pressure from the dogs, but an old friend of Sheffield, Vladimir Luka came up with a goal to cut Sheffield’s lead in half. Dogs led the first period by 2-1.
A blistering start in the second period saw Nathan Ripley get his name on the scoresheet after only 44 seconds, to lead 3-1. Exactly one minute later Brady Doxy, one of our most underrated players, got himself on the scoresheet to increase the lead to 4-1. Doxy had now got a taste for goal, after some brilliant work from Tate Shudra he set Doxy up in the slot, for his second goal of the night and the Dogs fifth of the evening. Walker Sommer decided he was getting in on the action, and followed up with goal number 6 which also brought a change of net minder for the tigers. A penalty called on Jack Brammer gave Telford a chance to bag a power play goal which they duly did within 6 seconds, it seems to be the theme of 6 seconds this weekend. Telford quickly followed up with their third of the night and reduced the Dog’s lead to 6-3. Goal 7 from Halfors again put the dogs lead back to 4 at 37:27. A very exciting period ended with the Dog’s leading 7-3.
The third period started with an early goal from Telford to reduce the arrears once again. Goal 8 for the Dog’s came on the power play with Sam Tremblay getting the goal. A sublime goal for goal 9 with a drop pass into the slot from Ivan for Sommer to score. Goal 10 came twelve seconds later from Tremblay, what a crazy game.
At this point you would think Telford would call it a day, but they have a never say die attitude and bagged themselves another 2 goals before the end of the game.

Last nights game was a great defensive performance, tonight’s game was a game for the forwards, with several of them racking up multiple points.
