The TriggerHub Sheffield Steeldogs are excited to announce that we will travel north of the border to face the Edinburgh Capitals in a pair of pre-season friendlies. These will take place on Saturday the 6th (18:30) and Sunday the 7th of September (15:00). These games mark an important milestone in our preparations for the upcoming 25/26 NIHL National season.
We’re thrilled to have received the invitation from Capitals’ Owner Scott Neil, who expressed a strong desire to host the Steeldogs for this pre-season series. Scott emphasised how these fixtures will be mutually beneficial, helping both teams fine-tune their squads ahead of the new campaign. Scott’s name is one that will be familiar to Sheffield hockey fans, after spending five seasons playing for the Steelers in both the Heineken League and Superleague era. Since returning to his native Edinburgh, Scott has also played, Coached and Managed the Edinburgh franchise.
