The Steeldogs started the game on fire! After just 1:36 Nathan Ripley got the Steeldogs on the board first. Walker Sommer then followed up with a second of the night at 2:39.Brady Doxey brought out some skill getting past to of the Hull defencemen and found the back of McLaughlin’s net to make it 3-0 to the Steelodgs after 8:42. Jacob Brammer got himself on the scoresheet scoring a really tidy goal making it 4-0. Lee Bonner finally got the Seahawks on the board at 19:30 ending the period 4-1 to the Steeldogs.

Just 45 seconds into the second period Jonathan Phillips made it five for the Steeldogs. That was the only bit of action from both teams in the second period.

Steeldogs were in a comfortable position heading into the third period. Momentum continued for the Steeldogs. At 48:31 Kyle Watson made it 6-1 to the Steeldogs. The finishing line was in sight. The job was virtually complete for the Steeldogs. Nathan Ripley went on to get his second of the game after a bobbling puck was knocked into the Hull goal.
Final score: Sheffield Steeldogs 7-1 Hull Seahawks. Sadly there was some poor sportsmanship with no handshake between the Sheffield and Hull coach as the Hull coach quickly vacated the away bench after the final buzzer.
The Steeldogs Man of the Match went to a much deserved #32 Alex Oldale!
