ICE Sheffield is waiting for you
The DSM Sheffield Steeldogs are preparing for a big weekend of NIHL National hockey with two home games in three days at iceSheffield.
Slava Koulikov’s side face the Telford Tigers on Friday evening at 7.30pm, before returning to home ice on Sunday afternoon to take on the Bristol Pitbulls at 4.00pm.
It gives Steeldogs supporters two opportunities to see their team in action as Sheffield look to build on last Sunday’s dramatic 8-6 victory over Solway.

There is plenty of recent history going into Friday night.
The two sides met only last weekend in Telford, when the Tigers came out on top 6-3.
Sheffield found themselves three goals behind during the opening period that night before Jordan O’Brien, Dante Salituro and Michael Pelech found the net as the Steeldogs tried to battle their way back into the contest.
Telford eventually secured the victory with a late empty-net goal.
The Tigers then travelled to Hull the following night, where they were beaten 5-0 by the Seahawks, so both sides enter Friday looking for consistency during the early weeks of the campaign.
For the Steeldogs, there will be added motivation after last weekend’s result.
This time the game is in Sheffield, in front of the home support, and the Dogs will be hoping to turn the tables.
Sunday’s Solway Comeback Gives Steeldogs Momentum
Sheffield certainly showed what they are capable of in their most recent outing.
Trailing Solway 4-1 midway through last Sunday’s game, the Steeldogs produced a remarkable second-period response.
Five unanswered goals transformed the contest, with Nathan Ripley, Walker Sommer and Dante Salituro all scoring twice during the afternoon as Sheffield eventually claimed an 8-6 victory.
That result moved the Steeldogs onto four points from their opening four league fixtures, placing them seventh in the early NIHL National standings.
Sheffield’s home games have already provided plenty of drama this season, with victories over Swindon and Solway giving the iceSheffield crowd plenty to celebrate.
Now comes the opportunity to add two more positive results.

After Friday night’s battle with Telford, attention will quickly turn to Sunday and the visit of the Bristol Pitbulls.
Bristol have endured a difficult beginning to their league campaign and currently sit at the foot of the early standings without a point from their opening four games.
But the Pitbulls have already shown that they can score goals.
Their first league weekend included a remarkable 9-8 defeat against Romford Raiders, while last Sunday they pushed Milton Keynes before eventually losing 5-3.
Bristol are also in action on Saturday night when they host Hull Seahawks before travelling north to Sheffield the following day.
So, just like the Steeldogs, they will enter Sunday’s game having already played once during the weekend.
A Big Weekend at iceSheffield
Two games.
Two different opponents.
And four valuable NIHL National points available.
