The DSM Sheffield Steeldogs are proud to announce five prospects who will be part of the club’s 2026/27 roster as they continue their development into senior hockey.
The Steeldogs are delighted to welcome Elliott Russan, Finn Wilson, Finley Williams, Jacob Brammer and Joe Matthewman to the roster.
Developing young talent has always been an important part of the Steeldogs’ philosophy, with the club’s prospect programme providing ambitious young players with the opportunity to train and develop within a senior hockey environment.
The programme is designed to help players gain valuable experience, develop their skills and prepare for the next stage of their hockey careers.
The Steeldogs’ partnership with the Sheffield Steelers also highlights the opportunities available to players who progress through the Steeldogs system, with previous players going on to earn opportunities at EIHL level.
This season, both Ivan Björkly-Nordström and Liam Steele earned full-time EIHL contracts with the Steelers following outstanding campaigns with the Steeldogs last season. Not to forget Kyle Watson who also signed a full-time EIHL contract with the Fife Flyers.
The club now looks forward to seeing our latest group of prospects continue their development throughout the 2026/27 season and wishes Elliott, Finn, Finley, Jacob and Joe every success in Steeldogs colours.
