The Sheffield Steeldogs are set to take on Yorkshire rivals the Leeds Knights in a pair of pre-season fixtures this September.
The two sides will meet twice over the weekend, with the first game taking place on Friday 11th September in Leeds at 7:00pm, before the return fixture on Sunday 13th September at 4:00pm, giving both teams an ideal opportunity to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the start of the new campaign.
The Leeds double-header forms part of a four-game pre-season schedule, with the Steeldogs also facing Solway IHC in two warm-up fixtures before attention turns to the 2026/27 season. Together, the four games will provide the coaching staff with valuable opportunities to build chemistry, assess combinations, integrate new signings and ensure the squad is ready for competitive action.
A Yorkshire derby is always guaranteed to provide intensity, and clashes with the Leeds Knights have consistently produced entertaining, hard-fought contests. Supporters can expect two competitive encounters as both teams continue their preparations for the new campaign.
These fixtures will also give fans another opportunity to see the Steeldogs in action after the summer break, with returning favourites and new faces looking to make an early impression before league action gets underway.
With four important pre-season tests against strong opposition, the Steeldogs will be looking to build momentum, sharpen their game and head into the opening weekend of the regular season full of confidence.
Ticket information for both of the Steeldogs’ home pre-season fixtures will be confirmed with supporters soon. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for further updates and on-sale details.
