It was a long journey down to Basingstoke for the Steeldogs for the first time in overtime 2 years.
Neither team knew what to expect heading into this game. Steeldogs went into the this game after winning their last 8.
The first period got of to a quick starts with Basingstoke seeing more of the puck. The game evened out about half way through the first. We went into the first intermission scoreless.
A quick re-group in the intermission and Basingstoke would be the team to get the first goal of the game through Zack Milton. The Steeldogs kept on pushing but Max Wright and the Bison defence were keeping any Steeldogs chances away.
Steeldogs knew they had work to do in the third period with the Bison leading by just 1-goal. Again Max Wright and the Bison made sure that they were the team to come away with the 2pts.
